PUTXS [put excess] is a queer media outlet designed to serve as a studio of creation and artistic direction, aiming to highlight the queer universe within art, fashion, design, technology, and culture.

Our primary goal is to create connections between queer creators and artists who play a driving role in our contemporary society. These connections will take the form of events (exhibitions, parties, shootings, conferences, etc.) to give our audience the opportunity to meet the artists and discover their work.

This media outlet is born from the initiative of two multidisciplinary artists, one from Latin America, the other from France, with the aim of creating a marriage of cultures that does not limit itself solely to the European queer scene but travels beyond borders and the colonial aspects still present today.

The title ‘PUTXS’ emerged due to the double meaning of this term. In Latin America, the ‘x’ is an inclusive ending replacing the gender of adjectives (putos/putas).
Putxs [putès] allows one to claim a dissident identity through a rebellious self-perception from a Latin American queer perspective.
Its second meaning, put excess, refers to the desire to offer more: more visibility, more space, more work to queer people. But also to offer society everything the queer community possesses in terms of artistic and creative uniqueness in its vision, its history, its work, its struggles, and its excesses.

Leho is a visual artist, curator, and Uruguayan activist based in Paris, whose works have been exhibited in Uruguay, Spain, Argentina, Brazil, and France. He explores various artistic forms such as painting, illustration, digital art, photography, video art, performance, and installations, from a Latin American decolonial perspective of queer art that he calls "arte marica y sudaka" (queer and South American art).

After completing a degree in Communication, he developed a career as art director in the film industry and international advertising since 2004. In 2009 he also began working as filmaker.

His artistic projects stand out for their commitment to human rights, focusing on the visibility of the LGBTQI+ community. He has participated in queer art festivals in Belfast, Madrid, Buenos Aires, São Paulo, Lyon, and Paris.

He is a co-founder of the L.A. Contracultural collective and also a member of Plateforme Plus in France. Additionally, he is a co-founder of Outburst Américas along with other curators from Argentina, Brazil, Northern Ireland, and Jamaica. He has been the artistic co-director and curator of the international festival Semana de Arte Trans in Montevideo since 2018.

Since his arrival in Paris in 2021, he has begun to experiment with digital photography, where he clearly expresses his aesthetic vision on fashion and identity, as well as hints of his cinematographic experience.

PUTXS is a space where he combines his multidisciplinary experience of more than twenty years, his decolonial perspective, and his new interests in projects of artistic co-direction and co-creation.

Nick or Fanny Munson is a Parisian artist and performer originally from Bordeaux. After studying arts in university, then hairdressing and makeup, from which he graduated as valedictorian, Nick accumulated eight years of experience as a makeup artist and seven years as a hairdresser. After a diverse and significant experience between salon and studio, he decided to fully dedicate himself to artistic creation and performance.

Upon his arrival in Paris, he created Fanny Munson, an alter ego that allows him to explore all facets of his creativity and subsequently collaborate with various collectives. By embodying Fanny, he offers multidisciplinary performances that merge fashion, visual arts, and fine arts.

At the heart of his work is a reflection on individuality in our society and the fight against objectification.

Using a multidisciplinary approach, Nick uses his body as a tool of propaganda, pushing the boundaries of gender norms. His way of breaking with binary and traditional beauty conventions offers an innovative and provocative perspective on aesthetics and performance.

As co-founder and artistic co-director of PUTXS, he uses his creative and craft skills to support other artists. He is committed to creating an environment that allows for artistic synergy. The goal is to broaden his creative perspective by offering a collaborative space where creativity can continuously flourish and reinvent itself; transforming each collaboration into an opportunity for learning and growth.
